Course Code AVID 003

“In search of the perfect beat, I found my own rhythm”
- DJ Ashley Casselle

What exactly does a Disk Jockey (DJ) do? Does the DJ only play recorded music? What exactly happens at the console which produces magic on the dance floor? Have you always wanted to learn the ropes of this fascinating art?

“Introduction to the Art of DJ'ing”, is a fascinating course, which teaches you the basics of the DJ'ing and offers you a glimpse into what it takes to be successful DJ.

Through 5 compact sessions, which would be a blend of theory and practicals, on a live console, you will be taken through the entire gamut of this art form. It will include techniques of making smooth transitions between songs, the range of software and professional hardware, which work seamlessly behind the scenes, to produce rocking evenings.

Today's DJ's wear multiple hats. Beyond producing music, they are often responsible for being Master's of Ceremonies (MC) at events and responsible for the overall look/feel and vibe of the event. “Introduction to the Art of DJ'ing”, will also give you an understanding into these nuances.

The grand finale of the “Introduction to the Art of DJ'ing” course, is a “War of the DJ's”, which will allow you to test your newly acquired skills.

Disk Jockeying (DJ'ing) has today evolved into a music form in its own right. DJ's like Paul Oakenfield, Tiesto, Ferry Corset etc are today globally recognized, for their art. In India, as well, acclaimed DJ's like DJ Aqeel, DJ Pearl etc have paved the way for this field to be a viable career option.

If you think, you have it in you, to become a DJ, but did not know where to start? “Introduction to the Art of DJ'ing” is the ideal course for you.
