Shringara is an expression of love, art and beauty as much as that of spiritual devotion. It is a metaphor for the relationship between a beloved and her lover, and more importantly between the individual and the divine.

Dr. Alka Pande |
Dr. Alka Pande is a prolific writer on Indology and art history and is the author of several well-known books. Some key books include Ardhanarisvara the Androgyne, Probing the Gender Within, Masterpieces of Indian Art, Indian Erotica, The Collector’s Handbook, Quest for Love, Kama sutra for Women. Recipient of the Charles Wallace Award in 1999-2000, she was awarded Chevalier dans l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres in December 2006 and the Australia India Council Award in 2009. Dr Alka Pande is currently a Consultant Arts Advisor and Curator of the Visual Arts Gallery, India Habitat Centre.

Priya |
Priya is a professional Odissi dancer trained in Kathak and Odissi. Having earned the International Baccalaureate degree from United World College, Singapore, Priya went on to get her Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Michigan, USA. She has performed in India for festivals like Konark Festival, Utsav Festival and abroad for the President of Croatia, Raza Arts Foundation, to name a few.
Curator and Head of the dance section of Kala Ghoda Arts Festival 2009-2011 & Celebrate Bandra Festival 2011, Priya professionally performs (mainly as solo dancer), teaches and researches the Indian classical dance style, Odissi. |
