Workshop Brief: |
“Music has the power to stimulate our mood, create harmony and fuel emotions. Rhythm gives it pace and drives it. Music relates to the heart while rhythm relates to heartbeat. One is integral to the other. “ - Madhu Ruia |
Music as an art is known to be one of the perfect forms of art. It can be defined as the output of our imagination and creativity. People have always found music significant in their lives, whether for enjoyment in listening, the emotional response, performing, or creating. |
AVID understands this significance of music and rhythm and the powerful subconscious effect it has on our lives. Hence, AVID - The School of Continuous Learning presents AVID Harmony - A series on understanding music. |
‘Rhythm & Percussion’, the second in this series, a 2-day musical extravaganza, explains why we respond to music, why is rhythm crucial to music, different rhythm patterns and percussion. This workshop will conclude with a musical session created by regular household items/ recyclable items, taught by Ameya Naik. |
